The Food Directorate is a government agency in Bangladesh responsible for managing and overseeing food-related matters in the country. It functions under the Ministry of Food of the Government of Bangladesh. To combat the famine in Bengal, the provincial government issued the Bengal Rationing order/1943 and established the Bengal Supplies Department. After the establishment of Bangladesh, a new ministry emerged as the Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies, and under it, an organization called the Directorate General of Food was created. Among the primary functions of the Food Directorate are food procurement, food distribution, food storage, food price monitoring, food safety, food policy development, etc.

1. Candidate age limit should be 18-30 years as on 31-08-2023. However, the age limit is 32 years for brave freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters of sons and daughters and physically challenged. No affidavit will be accepted for proof of age.
2. Candidates working in Government, Semi-Government, and Autonomous Organizations must apply with permission from appropriate authorities. In this case, the candidate has to submit the original copy of the no objection letter issued by the appointing authority at the time of oral examination.
3. The existing regulations of the Government in respect of recruitment and any subsequent amendments/changes in the respective rules will be followed.
4. Candidates will not be given any TA/DA for participating in Written, Oral, and Practical Examinations.
5. Candidates for the posts mentioned in serials no. 1, 4, and 8 of the circular will have to participate in the written test in Bengali, English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Candidates who qualify for the written test will have to participate in the oral test.
6. Candidates for the posts mentioned in Serials No. 2, 3, 13, and 14 of the circular will have to participate in the written test in Bengali, English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Candidates who clear the written test will have to attend the practical test. Only candidates who qualify for the practical test can appear in the oral test.
7. Candidates for the posts mentioned in Serials No. 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 of the circular will have to participate in the written test in Bengali, English, Mathematics/post related subjects and General Knowledge. Candidates who qualify the written test will have to participate in the oral test.
8. Candidates for the posts mentioned in serial No. 22 will have to participate in the written test in Bengali, English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. Candidates who qualify the written test will have to participate in the oral test.
9. No candidate can apply more than once for the same post. If more than one application of the same candidate is received for the same post, his/her candidature will be considered canceled.

Conditions regarding filling of application form Directorate General of Food

(A) In the online application form, the candidate has to scan his signature (length 300 * width 80) pixel and color picture (length 300 * width 300) pixel and upload it at the designated place. Image size should be a maximum of 100 KB and signature size should be a maximum of 60 KB.
(B) Since the information filled in the online application form will be used in all subsequent activities, the candidate himself must be 100% sure about the accuracy of all the information filled in before submitting the application form online.

Even if all the parts of the application are submitted online, the online application will not be accepted until the examination fee is submitted.
