Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA)

BMA means Bangladesh Military Academy. Bangladesh Military Academy was established in Chittagong Bhatiari in January 1974 to train army officers. The academy was initially raised on 29 November 1973 at Comilla Cantonment and later shifted to Bhatiari in 1976. The regular long course started in 1978. The first batch of officers of the Bangladesh Army graduated from the academy in 1975.

Everything you need to know about the application form and appearing in the exam

a) 16 to 21 years as on 01 January 2025 (affidavit not acceptable). 18-23 years for candidates serving in the armed forces.
b) Final selected candidates are advised to prepare National Identity Card before joining BMA.
c) Candidates who require basic military training are advised to learn swimming before joining BMA.
d) Cadets of Cadet College/BNCC/MCSK should apply through respective College/Regiment.
(e) Army HQ reserves the right to modify any part of the notification.
f) Army HQ reserves the right to issue/cancel joining letters to finally selected candidates.
g) Should be a citizen of Bangladesh by birth.
h) Must be single.

Online Application Process

I. First login to this website https://joinbangladesharmy.army.mil.bd/
II. Then click on “Apply Now” on the right side.
III. Click on Apply Now next to your desired post.
IV. Check if you are eligible with specific information.
V. If applicable fill in the captcha and click Confirm & Proceed for Payment.
VI. Pay the application fee through the above mentioned method.
VII. Now see that User ID and Password will be sent to your mail or mobile number.
VIII. Then login to https://joinbangladesharmy.army.mil.bd/
IX. Enter APPLICANT LOGIN on the top right side.
X. Login by filling captcha with username and password received in SMS.
XI. After login fill each step correctly.
XII. After completing each step click the submit button to complete the application.
XIII. After the application is completed, download the application form by going to Download Call-up Letter.

Disqualification

Regarding fees

Through Teletalk, VISA/ Mastercard, TAP, Bkash, Nagad, Rocket, etc for the candidates applying A total of Tk 2,000/- (Two Thousand) (Non-refundable) has to be paid towards Tk 1,000 (One Thousand) Application Fee and Tk 1,000 (One Thousand) Online Registration Fee. Application fee and online registration fee can be paid by following the procedure mentioned on the website in the application process and a call-up letter for a preliminary interview will be available immediately.

Selection Procedure

Preliminary Elective (Health & Oral):-

Preliminary Selection (Health and Oral) Examination will be held from 05th May 2024 to 16th May 2024 in various cantonments. If a candidate is unable to appear on the day of the examination, he can attend the examination on any day within the specified time. However, the change of exam date should be informed directly to the respective exam center beforehand.

Written Test: -

Candidates who have cleared the preliminary selection test will have to appear in the written test in Bengali, English, General Mathematics, and General Knowledge at the place mentioned in the interview paper. The written exam will be held on 24 May 2024 (Friday) at 09:00 am. The result of the written test will be published on the website https://joinbangladesharmy.army.mil.bd in the 1st week of June 2024.

Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) Examination: -

Candidates qualified in the written test will have to appear for the test/interview at the ISSB located at Dhaka Cantonment on the scheduled date. Exam/Interview date will be published on ISSB website www.issb-bd.org. The examination will be completed in four days and all expenses will be borne by the authority.

Final Health Examination: -

After the ISSB examination candidates have to attend the final health examination.

Providing Final Selection and Joining Guidelines: -

Candidates subject to final qualification in the health examination will be finally selected by HQ, AG's Branch (PA Department), and will be issued joining guidelines.
