Department of Land Records and Surveys

Department of Land Records and Surveys DLRS means Department of Land Records and Surveys. In 1875, the British government passed the Bengal Survey Act. As this law was not enough, the Bengal Tenancy Act was enacted in 1885. On March 2, 1883, the Act was introduced in the Indian Legislature and passed in 1885. In 1888, as Agriculture was formed as a separate department, the department came to be known as Land Records Department. In 1919 the work of surveying was transferred to the Land Records Department and it was transformed into the Department of Land Records and Surveys. In 1975 it was raised to a Directorate and the office was named “Department of Land Records and Surveys”. Its headquarters is located in Dhaka.

a) All Posts 08/02/2024 AD. Candidate age should be between 18 to 30 years as on the date. However, the maximum age limit is 32 years for brave freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters of sons and daughters and physically challenged candidates. The age of children of sons and daughters of brave freedom fighters should be 30 years. The affidavit is not admissible for proof of age.

b) Candidates working in Govt/Semi Govt/Autonomous/Approved Private Institutions should apply through the appropriate authority. Otherwise, the application will not be considered acceptable.

c) Government rules will be followed in the selection of candidates.

d) The decision of the appointing authority in any matter related to online application and recruitment tests will be considered final.

e) Candidates will have to participate in written, oral, and in case applicable practical tests. Candidates will not be paid any TA/DA for appearing in the examination.

f) The appointing authority reserves full power to suspend/cancel/withdraw the recruitment process due to unavoidable reasons. If the recruitment process is suspended or canceled at any stage of the recruitment for any reason, no applicant can claim for his appointment or even if he claims it will not be legally accepted.

g) A candidate can apply only for 01 (one) post in one application.

h) A resident of one district cannot apply as a resident of another district.

i) Only eligible candidates will be recommended for final recruitment from among the candidates who have passed the prescribed written, oral and practical (where applicable) tests following the prevailing rules. Any recommendation in this case will be considered as disqualification of the candidate.
